So tired of people saying “You must eat a lot of salads, huh?” when they find out I’m vegan. I do NOT like salads. My love of raw spinach does not equate to “salad”. I blew one of my co-worker’s minds by telling them that, depending on where you live, oreos are vegan. I think she’s now reevaluating her life.

It was a beautiful day so I decided to welcome spring properly and murder my first watermelon of the year :)

Half of it is in the freezer for tomorrow…mmmmmm

I find the vegan community on here to be my go-to safe place. There are a number of people that I can just see posts from them and it makes life a bit better. If I really needed someone to talk to, I know there are a handful of people I could message and get a reply. I guess I just want to say thank you to the people I follow just for being themselves. For existing. I love you all :)

Just discovered there’s a leftover calzone in the fridge! Yay! Something to eat while everyone at work has barbecued animal parts. And I know that one of the managers will tell me, “But, there’s coleslaw!” like I would fucking eat that. 

People act all shocked when I tell them that my health has fuck all to do with my veganism. Yes, my health has improved in many ways, but that is completely and utterly not the point! I didn’t do this for some sort of personal gain, this is about things bigger and more important than me or my perceived health.

Going to make some mushroom and spinach calzones with my fabulous garlic bechamel sauce for dinner tonight.

Anyone have good tips on natural mosquito repellents? With all the rain we’ve been having I feel like this is going to be a bad season for the little blood suckers. I’d really love stuff that’s safe to use around pets! Thanks in advance!
