I AM SORRY BUT THIS IS WHY I AM EMBARRASSED TO BE AN AMERICAN. IF A HIJAB THAT DORNS THE AMERICAN FLAG PATTERN IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BUT SKIMPY ASS BIKINIS OR WEARING THE FUCKING ACTUAL FLAG IS ACCEPTABLE, JUST BECAUSE THE PERSON IS WHITE, I WANT TO FUCKING THROW UP.

(I don’t have a thing against Audrey Kitching, she was just merely and example).

But this fucking disgusts me right here. It makes me want to say, fuck this country and its racism and double standards.

I LITERALLY FUCKING CAN NOT

Give her a bullet to the head for walking down the street, minding her own business??  And they think SHE’S the terrorist.

^bolding for emphasis.

THIS IS NOT OKAY.  THIS IS NOT OKAY.  THIS IS NOT OKAY.

No but that’s illegal.
That is actually illegal.
What the hell.

Hello friends, this is a violation of sections 959.06A and 959.131B of the Ohio state law. The former is a fourth-degree misdemeanor. The latter is a first-degree misdemeanor on the first offense and fifth-degree felony for each subsequent offense. This man shot a litter of kittens, not a single animal as the law is worded, so a case could be made for felony (or four). Either way, this is a crime. There is also the federal Animal Welfare Act which I’m not even going to get into.
According to the AVMA’s annual euthanasia panel, shooting an animal is only considered humane in emergency situations, as in if the animal presents immediate danger or is in too much pain to be moved. It also notes that the euthanasia must take place in a remote location. These kittens were healthy, in no pain, posing no threat to anybody, and were in the immediate vicinity of children.
And, this article has it wrong: Accorti is a humane officer, not a police officer. This is his job description, direct from the North Ridgeville, OH website: “The city employs two part time Humane Officers, who are responsible for enforcing the city and state laws governing the keeping, registration, vaccination, and sanitation of domestic animals.” He’s employed to enforce the state law, so he knew exactly what he was doing.
Please do not let this man walk away unpunished and with his job intact. Make noise. Get the attention of the higher-ups. Sign these petitions. Email or call any of these people: city mayor, district attorney, state attorney general, state senator, state representative, governor, US representative, US senators, or anybody else who has power over the police chief. You can do this even if you don’t live in Ohio.
The lives of five homeless kittens may not seem that important, but officers are not above the law. Barry Accorti could be charged with a felony for his actions if we can get the attention of the people with the authority to make this happen. Please, please, please stand up against animal cruelty and officers who break the law and expect to get away with it.

Complete BULLSHIT! I fucking hate cops.

This reminds me of another incident in which a cop shot a woman’s dog, the police department denied it, and when she showed them that she had VIDEO EVIDENCE of the cop gunning down the dog, they begged her to keep quiet.
Whenever a domesticated animal goes out and murders something like a cat, often that animal is either put to sleep or under heavy regulations because if it could murder a cat, it could possibly murder a small child.
Human beings like the officer who shot those kittens should also be regarded as potentially dangerous. If someone is completely blasé about shooting anyone or anything non-threatening, they don’t deserve a position of power, and certainly not a badge, a gun, and the protection of more cops who don’t care. If he can’t even be arsed to take the kittens away from children before disposing of them, it shows that he has a complete lack of human sympathy and decency, and will very likely end up doing something like shooting a person for no reason or worse. Some people don’t give a damn about animals, which is terrible, but those people protecting this guy and who apparently don’t value the lives of a litter of kittens still need to look at the big picture and realize that this man is too dangerous to be a cop.

Blackfish - Trailer

Beyond the lies, beneath the deception, the truth will surface.

Magnolia Pictures has debuted the trailer for the chilling Sundance documentary Blackfish, directed Gabriela Cowperthwaite, about orcas in captivity.

Holy shit.

OKAY, WE NEED TO REBLOG THE FUCK OUT OF THIS. EVEN IF YOU’RE NOT AN ANIMAL PERSON, YOUR FOLLOWERS NEED TO SEE THIS. ESPECIALLY DURING THE HEIGHT OF VACATION SEASON. DO NOT SUPPORT SEA PARKS WITH CAPTIVE WHALES. IT’S NOT ENVIRONMENTAL PROPAGANDA (I can’t believe I even used those words) IT’S A REAL ISSUE AND IT’S NOT A MATTER OF PROOF, IT’S A MATTER OF COVERING IT UP AND IGNORING IT!
